Navigation
The easiest way to get to Saxen Bay is from the fjord between Smögen and Kungshamn. Keep south of the three small skerries that lie south of the Kolebådan fire. When the last skerry is abeam, steer 145° until you can follow the coastline of Lilla Långö. Note the shoal that juts into the bay as an extension of the northeast tip of Saxen.
Berths
One lies off stern anchors on both beaches of Saxen's northeast side in 1.5 - 2 m of water. There is good protection from swell here except when the wind is from directions between northwest and northeast. Wind protection is somewhat poorer. Rock hooks are available. The anchoring ground is acceptable.
Surroundings
The islands offer good shelter and are very well visited. There are beautiful rocks and paths here, lovely swimming spots and fantastic views over both the sea and the archipelago, as well as the inner fairway. There is a dry toilet.
