Access to the lighted harbor is possible day and night. It is accessed directly from the fairway of Randers Fjord.

Berths

Guests will find limited mooring options on the inside of the eastern pier at a water depth of 3 m or on green signs. Yachts with a draught of less than 1.3 m can also moor on the outside of the pier in calm weather. The harbor is very busy with local boats. The ferry jetty to the west of the harbour may not be used by pleasure craft.

Surroundings

At the harbor you will find newly built  toilet facilities, playground, beach and sauna etc. everything the family needs for a vacation. Electricity and fresh water at the jetties.

NV Land Guide

This harbor at the exit of Randers Fjord is probably only of interest to most pleasure boaters as a stop along the Jutland coast. The number of visitors to the fjord is even smaller than in the naturally beautiful Mariager Fjord, which may be due to the fact that almost exclusively the channel is deep enough for the usual keel yachts. Conversely, this gives keelboats the advantage of secluded moorings.

What the village of Udbyhøj Vasehuse lacks in beauty, the landscape on the Kattegat coast to the north offers, which is also characterized by a special diversity of bird species. This also applies to the entire Randers Fjord, where, for example, a number of storks still nest.

In the vicinity of Sødringholm Castle near the forest of the same name (three kilometers to the north), several small hills offer an excellent view of the Kattegat.

Moors and heaths dominate the landscape along the coast. The paths and roads with little traffic are ideal for walks.

In the harbor, fishermen are gradually handing over the reigns to pleasure boaters, although fishing is still an important livelihood here. The standard of sanitary facilities is not overwhelming. Those who rely on their own cooking skills should buy fresh fish in the harbor.

A ferry runs between Udbyhøj Vasehuse (also known as Udbyhøj Nord) and Udbyhøj Süd opposite. The journey time is seven minutes.
