The harbor entrance is lighted, so it is also possible to enter at night. The Trillen shoal is located to the southwest of the harbor, the red buoy must be passed to the south. If the boat shed is located to the east of the northern entrance, the approach is approx. 355°.

Berths

Guest boats are moored alongside or in free spaces (green signs) at a water depth of 1-3 m. Harbour dues are paid at the machine.
Anchorage:
A good anchorage can be found in the bay 3 nm southeast of the harbour at a water depth of approx. 6 m.

Surroundings

The town is beautifully situated and offers good supply options. The harbor is often crowded at weekends.

Only diesel is available at the petrol station. You can pay by card at the vending machine.

In addition to good barbecue facilities, there is also a kiosk right on the harbor for a popular hot dog or ice cream. Super Brugsen (7-19) and Rema 1000 (7-21) are also only 6 minutes away.

The WLan works perfectly. Access is on the receipt of the harbor fee.

A bus to Sønderborg or Kegnæs runs several times a day (timetable at the harbor master's office).

NV Land Guide

The former fishing village behind the Kegnæs headland has lost some of its charm due to the construction of many bungalows, but has nevertheless remained a very popular destination for German yachtsmen. This popularity is probably also due to the fact that the old part of the village exudes a great deal of Danish coziness. Another reason for the many visitors to the harbor is certainly the bay of Hørup Hav, which is excellent for exploring by dinghy and has now also been discovered by surfers as an ideal spot. The forests around Høruphav are ideal for long walks and, last but not least, it has one of the most beautiful beaches in North Schleswig. However, the bird sanctuary near the harbor may not be entered during the breeding season.

The large number of pleasure craft (around 6,000 a year) that visit this idyllic spot may deter some sailors or motor boaters from visiting. On weekdays, however, the crowds in the harbor are limited. There are supermarkets and restaurants here: So catering is not a problem. The distance to Sønderborg is around eight kilometers.

The Kegnæs lighthouse southeast of Høruphav is a great destination for an excursion. Built in 1845 and overhauled in 1896, it was the first of its kind on Alsen. From the lighthouse, 32 meters above sea level, you have a beautiful view of Ærø and large parts of Alsen. The lighthouse, which is also a meteorological reporting station, is open to visitors.

Midway to the lighthouse, there is a historic mill at Vibøge. Historical crafts can be seen there in summer. The 'Vibæk Vandmølle' complex has been in an idyllic location since 1750.

The Hørup Kirke, a Romanesque fieldstone building, dates back to the Middle Ages. It is located on a hill in the old village of Kirke Hørup. It is said that the place where it is located is ruled by "underground spirits", who would take down the walls built during the day at night. During the day, a voice is said to have urged the builders to continue building with the words "higher, higher". In its present form, the church was built without a tower in 1689. The church bells are rung in a bell house in the cemetery.

Hafenanlage super, überall Sitzgelegenheiten, Bänke, Gasgrills. Auch an überdachte Plätze wurde gedacht. Sanitäre Anlage etwas zu klein bemessen. Sauberkeit ein Fremdwort. Die Herren Duschen sind schon seit Wochen nicht mehr ordentlich gereinigt worden. Überall dieser rosa Film in Bodennähe, den man mit Wasser und Lappen einfach entfernt kann. Sehr schade sonst wären es 5 Sterne.

Sehr netter Hafenmeister! Allerdings knapp bemessene sanitäre Anlage. Plus: wir durften im Gemeinschaftsraum das Fußballspiel von Dänemark gegen Slowenien zur EM 2024 sehen!

Juli 2022 Boot: 0-10,99: 190DKK, Strom muss man abwählen am Automaten, sonst ist er automatisch dabei und kostet dann 20 DKK pro Tag. Mit Strom also 210 DKK
